neck lift

A neck lift is similar to a facelift, but focused on rejuvenating your neck and the lower part of your cheeks. Loose skin beneath your jaw will give you the appearance of having a double chin, even if you are of normal weight. And poor muscle tone in the lower part of your face will cause your cheeks to hang down from the sides of your lower jaw. These facial areas, called jowls, are one of the most visible signs of an aging face.

A neck lift will remove your jowls by repositioning your tissues. It will correct your double chin by removing loose neck skin and tightening the soft tissues in the upper neck. If only moderate amounts of fat have collected below your chin, and if your muscles there are strong, liposuction can restore a more youthful neck contour. Patients who have weaker muscles may need an incision below their chin to tighten the neck muscle and sometimes a separate incision behind the ear to remove excess skin.

As with a facelift, you will need to prepare for a two-week recovery period after neck lift surgery, but this procedure will bring you results that you would not be able to achieve in any other way.*
