eyelid rejuvenation

When you look in the mirror, what do you notice first? Many of our patients come to us asking for help with the lower parts of their face—loose skin in the lower face and neck, thinning lips, or wrinkles around the mouth and chin. But when other people look at them, the first thing they usually notice is the area around the eyes.

Your eyes occupy the focal point of your face, the area that draws the most attention from others. As you age, bags can develop beneath your eyes, and your eyelids may begin to droop, appear folded over, or look puffy. When others see you, they may think of you as chronically tired or weary, especially toward the end of each day.

Eyelid rejuvenation surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure performed on the upper or lower eyelids. In a blepharoplasty, we remove the excess skin and fat that your upper eyelids have gathered, enabling your eyes to open wider and convey an impression of natural alertness. We can also lessen wrinkles below your eyes, and use a chemical peel to correct discolouration that can be perceived by others as bags. The incisions are easily hidden within the natural creases of tissue surrounding your eyes.*

Eyelid rejuvenation surgery can play a big role in restoring a youthful face, making you appear more alert at first glance, and sculpting a younger contour for your eyes.
